Donkey Kong '94

If a sequel is defined as a game that does more than its predecessor ever could, Donkey Kong '94 for the Game Boy is the greatest sequel of all time. It starts off with the usual four levels of Donkey Kong- the construction site, pie factory, and spring level everyone hated are all present and accounted for. However, once you finish them and expect the game's ending, Donkey Kong steals Pauline again and takes her to 97 more stages of platforming, puzzling fun.

In every level (except those first four, obviously) there's a key and a door. Your job is to bring said key to said door to open it. This is made more difficult by some ingenius puzzle design and a ton of enemies and challenges to get through. Mario has a lot of new moves, too- he can backflip, pick things up, vault himself off ropes, throw and catch hammers, climb vines, and tons of other cool stuff. Nintendo really packs as much into this game as possible, and it shows.

Racecar Soccer

Glorious Trainwrecks is a website that isn't necessarily about making bad games, but instead about making games that don't try as hard to be good. Every third saturday of the month they run the Klik of the Month Klub, a two-hour game making competition in which competitors are encouraged to use the glitchy but easy-to-use Klik & Play. This was my first KotM, as they're called by cool people, and I made a game called Racecar Soccer, which is like any normal soccer game but with more racecars. It's also rather frustrating.

I had a great time making the game and the result turned pretty much exactly as I'd expected it. And I even got linked by Auntie Pixelante, which means I probably did something right.

So what are you waiting for? Go play it, bro!

Hello, assorted people who read blogs. I'm strong414bad, though you can all call me Strong. I'm here to talk about games. I know other people have blogs talking about games, but mine is special somehow.

Somehow.

Anyways, I guess I should start off telling you about myself. I'm 14 years old and I live in Massachusetts, about halfway between Boston and Providence to be more specific. I'm a student, currently a freshman in high school, and when I'm not working on schoolwork I make games with Multimedia Fusion 2. Haven't finished yet, but I've come awfully close and thus needed to have some semi-official place for people to find my games.

So thus this blog.

When I'm not doing school work or making games I'm probably sleeping, but I also like playing games and stuff like that. I'm also an avid Youtube Poop fan and I make a lot of those, too, but I don't really need to talk as much about that, and having a blog called Strong Likes Poop probably would not be fun.

I don't really have anything else to say about myself that'd make a good introduction, but I hope that you people who actually read blogs like this one in the coming months that I'll be working on it. I'm feeling pretty excited about it.

So... yeah.
